Foods That Will Keep You Full Longer

Eggs are one of the best choices to eat for breakfast. Not only is it high in protein but it is packed with several vitamins that promote overall health. And this is not a boring food at all. You can eat it in so many ways: sunny side up, boiled, scrambled or even make it into a soup. It is also most often one of the basic ingredients of every dish! Just watch out for the other ingredients you mix with it!


High in unsaturated fat, nuts contain alpha-linolenic acid, a type of omega-3 fatty acid that can reduce inflammation and may help prevent blood clotting. Nuts are also packed with a lot of nutrients such as potassium, magnesium, calcium, folic acid and vitamin E. So why not eat almonds instead of chips for your afternoon snack. It provides a good amount of fiber to keep you full for a longer time.


Another easy-to-prepare filling food that has a high content in fiber is oatmeal. It is also an excellent source of calcium thus keeping bones healthy and preventing you from osteoporosis. Here’s more good news: the soluble fiber found in oats can lower blood cholesterol. Just make sure to watch your diet! Eat your oatmeal with fresh fruits to add more flavor and vitamins!



This easy-to-buy fruit rich in potassium and vitamin B6 can help lower one’s blood pressure and ward off heart disease. It’s also a natural antacid that gives a soothing relief from ulcer. Bananas also contain tryptophan, an amino acid that is known to keep you in a good mood. Eat it with peanut butter to put you in a happier mood!


Do you need a sudden boost of energy? Take a few bites of chocolate and it will give you exactly what you need. Chocolates put us in a positive mood and make us move faster. Chocolates help release serotonin a.k.a. the “happy chemical” in our brain, which makes us happy! And if you’re happy, you’re a better worker, too!
